When a king makes a wish, his subjects must obey or else! Meet Eddie Ruiz from South Gate, California, who (along with his noble brothers Chelo, Chepe and Mario) turned out a royally righteous trike called "King's Wish." Once upon a time, Eddie's trike was a bare-bones Lowrider Collection import purchased in 1998 and, of course, it lacked the pizzazz of a trike fit for a king. So Eddie placed the three-wheeler in the hands of his honorable friend Pablo, who skillfully welded sheet metal and Bondo to create a traditional but radical lowrider trike with a design that all of the king's men would admire.

Sergio Avalos of South Gate then spread deep candy red paint and small metalflakes as thick as the blood of a slain dragon. Sergio also gracefully applied the pinstriping and graphic finishes to mesmerize any and all of Eddie's foes. What we have failed to mention thus far are the shapely damsels in distress engraved into the fenders. Eddie and Sergio took hold of the engraving machine to etch the form of his harem on the fenders and scissor lifts, but only after they carefully cut the fenders for increased creativity and point-scoring potential.

A king can manipulate and twist the minds of his subjects, but sometimes his merry men do some twisting of their own. The merry men at Manny's Bike Shop (Compton, California)--Meno, Mono and Steve--professionally twisted Eddie's handlebars, mirrors, forks and pedals. All of these luxury items shine in the face of adversity with the chrome and gold-plating help of G&C Custom Wire Wheels (Bell Gardens, California). The slice of Eddie's creative sword does not stop there; next up was the upholstery.

Another royal subject named Ruben assisted Eddie in the creation of the upholstered thrown. The upholstery draped over the winged seat is red and gold velour with tiny cut mirrors wrapped around the edges to reflect the sides of both good and evil in the king's kingdom. In another test of his crafty skills, a single Hi-Low Competition hydraulic pump with an aluminum block and one dump was affixed under the seat on the chromed rear axle. There is also room for a modern day 12-volt motorcycle battery.

Eddie's trike is a three-wheel fortress rolling on a red carpet of victory. However, even a king needs help from his princess girlfriend, in this case, Alma Lopez. Eddie has announced his plans for 2003 and if his wish is granted you may have to bow down and say, "Yes, your majesty!"
