Two-Wheeler Lowrider Bicycle - Cremator

Hector's two-wheeler was reincarnated as a cream of the crop cruiser.

Text Size

At the young age of 24, Hector, of Corona, California, has devoted approximately $3,000 and two years of his time into this bike, which was originally a stock '99 Aztlan Cruiser. In the beginning, Hector did not know much about building a bicycle and when the 16-inch frame was purchased for a mere $60, it was his cousin (and well-known bike customizer) Dagoberto Duran, who supplied the inspiration and drive to get this project going!

Hector and his cousin first began on the bodywork, welding reinforcements on the frame and then welding sheets of metal over the reinforcements, giving shape to the new body style. The seat pole was cut and a rear skirt was added. After the bodywork was complete, Albert DeAlba of Mario's Auto Works in Pomona, California, sprayed candy tangerine paint with medium-sized flakes over a silver base. Mike Lamberson was the man elected to do the gold leafing and pinstriping.

Other custom goodies were added to Creamator, like the one-of-a-kind forks and sissy bars that were precision cut by Laser Industries in Orange, California, in the shapes of medieval axes. Gonzalo Esparza put in his two cents and designed the crazy cool handlebars. What's not painted is chrome or gold plated, thanks to Andres Tech Plating in Anaheim, California, and Golden Plating in La Mirada, California. Many of these plated parts were later engraved by Hernan D'Aloia of Hernan's Custom Engraving in Whittier, California.
